I've been prepping for a revolver carry experiment. I was having trouble with slippery wood grips.
http://smith-wessonforum.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/550103904/m/8601024503 One solution was rubber bands: http://smith-wessonforum.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/5501039...161053903#1161053903 The main problem is grips are expensive and I don't know what will work or what won't. Stippled Ahrends Tactical Grips The stippling provides a great grip! The gun no longer twists in my hand when I draw it. I sanded the grips. Then I used a dremel with the round ball bit and stippled the wood to my satisfaction. I applied one coat of Tung oil to reseal it. The wood is very hard and the oil didn't stick very well. I had to cook the grips at 180-200 degrees for about two hours. |

Very nice, amigo!
Shot-placement is king. Adequate penetration is queen. Everything else is angels dancing on the heads of pins. |
