For me the question is not about the speed limit, it is about the 3 speeding tickets I am allowed to have at any one time. I have found that if I drive my shop vans at the speed limit,(they won't go fast anyhow, too loaded down) that seems to allow me to drive my other vehicle faster, I keep my speed at less than 20 mph over the speed limit. Anyhow I don't seem to ever have more than one ticket on my record at any one time with this method, which is so much better than I have done in the past as I have had my license revoked 3 times (last time was 8 years ago)

In America, people tend to not obey laws they perceive as being stupid or oppressive. Probably the best example was Prohibition. A close second was the nationwide 55 mph speed limit. Sooner or later, the government gives up and repeals them.

Remember fellow citizens, laws (written and unwritten), mores, customs, etc. are the boiled-down wisdom of our forefathers. It's usually wise to pay attention to their experience. When we don't we usually get away with it, but some few do pay a heavy price. I tell my kids "Ignore the scriptures, pay the price."
