My Daughter in law applied for her Georgia permit Monday before last on July the 28th and it came today the 8th of August. Only took 11 days. They've really stepped it up because it took my youngest Son almost 90 days to get his Georgia permit.

My permits are not in GA but no they don't have to do any training courses in GA.

I didn't have to take any training courses for my Alabama permit nor did I for the New Hampshire permit. I did have to take a training class for my Florida permit which Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Maine also recognized in order to get permits from those states.

Some counties in Georgia are getting the licenses to folks even quicker than 11 days, Smitty500Mag. Check out Georgia Packing and see what I mean, you can find a link for it on the homepage of the website below. And while you're there, why not join GeorgiaCarry.Org if you're not already a member?! Big Grin These folks are really helping with our gun rights here.

No.

I understand that is the reason we do not have reciprocity with South Carolina. Forget where I read that.

As I reported here, my renewal back in December took less than an hour.

I joined GeorgiaCarry.org at a gun show earlier this year.

You'll need to contact them by phone and request an application. Listed below is the number and how you go about it.

Connecticut
NonResidents:
You must Contact the "Special License and Firearms Unit" of the Connecticut State Police at 860-685-8494 to request an application. Applications and instructions are not available online.

Go to this site and you can get pretty much all the info you need to apply for permits in all the states.
http://www.handgunlaw.us/state-link.htm

I got all my info off of the old packing.org site before it folded when I applied for all of my non resident permits.
