Where can I get a stripper clip to carry .38 spl ammo for my 642? I don't believe I want to carry extra ammo in a speed loader..

The Bianchi Speed Strips work well for that task. They are made from a soft plastic/rubber type material. I've used them for years. They hold up to 6 cartridges and lay flay on your pocket.

If speed of reloading is of no concern SKS stripper clips will hold ten cartridges. I use the bianchi speed strips that the gentlemen above mentioned.

Don't carry a gun because of what may happen today. Carry because once, just once, and at the least likely time imaginable, you may run into the worst monster you ever could imagine. Be their worst nightmare and resist them with all the stubbornness that our pioneer ancestors posessed. To do less is to be unamerican.

I was going to post a few clips of strippers that Sip sent me, but I would probably get banned.

Awe Man & a Pic Of The ORIGINAL Matt Del Fatti DD Too.. Great Idea Moving the clip off from cylinder area minimizing the bulk of the holster..
+1 on the Bianchi Speed Strips, They Carry Very Well, Note: Sipowicz's Speed Strip has the tab cutt off making it fit the watch pocket of most jeans perfectly..Another Great Idea..
Nice HCd 442-1 & Sweet Looking Stags DD..

My last purchase of a Bianchi Speed Strip fell apart after 22 years. At the present time I use HKS-36 Speed Loaders. The problem I had was most Speed Loader cases are TO BIG for CCW. I lucked out when I found an HKS 22-357 case that is small enough to use in the summer time.

You could use an SKS stripper clip - it hold 10 very nicely

Do you mind telling us why you would forego such an advantage and deliberately choose a much slower reloading method?

Las armas son necesarias
Pero nadie sabe cuando;
Asi no, si andas paseando,
Y de noche sobre todo,
Debes llevarlo de modo
Que al salir, salga cortando.

I carry my speedloaders in an el-cheapo nylon camera case on my belt. The case holds up to 3 speedloaders without any problems, and with less bulk than a conventional speedloader holder. I tried, and I will never be a Jerry Miculek - so I know it won't be a speedy reload if the SHTF. Therefore I rely on a BUG in the weak hand pocket aka New York Reload.

Best of luck,

Dave

In my case, it's a matter of concealment. The stripper clips have a much smaller profile, and fit nicely in my shirt pocket for my backup gun. On duty I've got so much stuff to carry in my suit coat pockets and on my belt, it's the best choice for me. With practice, it is very possible to quickly load with a stripper. Off duty, in cooler weather, I often put a speed loader in my pocket when I opt for revolver carry.
