I do know about the twilight zone! That's where all the socks go.

Thanks I will check into that about Graf and Sons.

Regarding the "Rosette" knob for the Dillon powder measure. On the package it is called "Flowerette". You will find it at some (not all) Home Depots. The CORRECT size is 5/16" on the package. It IS confusing, however, as nothing on the knob measures 5/16". I have three of them installed on my Dillon measures so that "size" is definitely correct.

There is an earlier thread that has pictures of the knobs AND the package. Without this information I would have NEVER found these at Home Depot. No one there had ever heard of them but the package gave them information that they were able to locate through use of their computer. They are in the "Crown company" section in drawers.

They are a really worthwhile addition to the Dillon measure if you do not purchase the "Mr. Dial" set up. The "Flowerettes" cost $1.20 at Home Depot.

I have owned a 550 since around 1996. I actually broke the aluminum frame while reloading U.S. military 30-06 brass. Dillon replaced it for free (with a redesigned, strengthened frame)including free shipping. Dillon is a good outfit. I use Dillon and Redding dies on mine. All my rifle dies are Redding and they work well on the 550.

Got my Dillon yesterday afternoon. I was seeing blue the rest of the night! What a smooth press compared to the single stages I am used to.
I got it mounted up to the bench and halfway adjusted.
I had to re-read the manual to find that the press was setup for large primers and there are actually two different primer mag tubes for the two sizes. I kept missing and flipping primers, Doh!
The powder measure meters perfectly for the trail boss that I use for my .38spl. Now I have to practice the sequence a few thousand times...

Here's a picture of my Dillon. It is still nice and clean, I've loaded about 500 rounds so far.
I keep looking over at my lee single stage thinking "I am so glad that I don't have to use that anymore."

I have the square deal reloader, but I can state that DILLON is the only way to go, and mine is 15 years old and thousands of rounds and I have had to replace a few parts, but I can also say, THEY STAND BEHIND THERE WARRANTY 100 %//// A WONDERFUL COMPANY

Thanks for the comments Sgt Preston. I have managed to get the press working ok now. I do have a problem with the powder bar on my quick change for the 45 acp. The powder bar is suppose to be between .358 and .359" thick. The bar on my setup for the 45 is only .355 to .356" thick. Using Titegroup there is about 10 flakes of powder that comes out on top of the powder bar after each charging of a case. After about 100 rounds I have a real mess with extra powder that I have to wipe off the top of the bar with each charged case. I sent Dillon an email but the only response I got was did I buty it directly from them or a dealer. I told them I bought it from them along with 3 other quick change setups in the last several months. I said that this was the only one I had problems with. I will wait and see what their response is on this one.

Sgt Preston here. Littledragon I have had excellent responses to PHONE CALLS to Dillon. Everyone I've talked to has responded 100% perfectly. E mail's simply may not express the same sense of urgency. Obviously you are dealing with an "out of spec" part that they simply need to replace. I'd give them a call tomorrow, explain the problem, explain that this one part leaks & measures smaller than the other 2 identical parts & ask for a replacement. Let us know what they have to say. Preston

I agree with Sgt. Preston. CALL Dillon on the phone. I am confident that you will receive 100% of the help you need.
