4.0-4.1 grains of B/E here with 200 SWC.
As JJ said about trajectory. Very soft shooting load. May/may not run your 1911', if your running a hard ball spring.

Fellow Handloaders,
I have used 3.5 grains of Bullseye under a 200 HC SWC for years in the 45ACP and autorim with extremely good results.Far as the 230 grain LRN,haven't used Bullseye, but used Win-231,charge weight 5-5.2grains and this also works well the 230 grain FMJFP from Hornady, very accurate combination out of autoloaders and revolvers.Just athought for ya.
Equalizer
I don't shoot lead from G-21 either!

. I'm wanting to load Bullseye behind 230 LRN cast in a 4" 625 for IDPA. Need 715 FPS. Any advice on grains and accuracy at 20 yards? Thanks!

4.5gr should get you right in the ballpark. I shoot 4.7gr under a 230gr Ranier/Berry's plated bullet from a G21, PT1911 and get right at 780+fps. From the revolver with the cylinder gap it may put right in there. I have shot 1000s of these rounds and recommend them to you.

3.8 to 4.2 grains of Bullseye and a H&G 68 (or H&G 130, depending)is what I use, depending on the pistol I'm shooting. With wheel weights and 2% tin, my bullets cast at 205 and 200 grains, respectively.

Lots of folks complain about Bullseye being dirty, but assuming you clean your guns, who cares?

4.1 grains of bullseye or VV310. They come out like a mortar round but will fall into the same hole if you and your gun do the job.

I just loaded about 1500 rounds with 5.0 grains of Bullseye under a 230 grain Hornaday HAP bullet - if I recall right, I think that was Jeff Cooper's old load...
