Sorry, I've loaded the .30 Mauser but never the .30 Luger. Is there any thing in particular you were looking for or just things to look out for?
Browning HP is a great gun too.

Kinda both, I was hoping for some favorite loads, and particular cast bullets any one has tried, etc. I'm just going to plink and play with it for a while and then clean it real good and put it in the safe for the retirement fund. I got a real good deal on it, cherry in the box with tools two 7.65 marked mags numbered to the gun all the paperwork, cleaning rod, special caliber specific factory manual, etc.

Until you get some better information, Lymans Pistol and Revolver manual, 3rd edition, lists their most accurate load for the .30 Luger using Win. 231. Starting load is 3.9gr, max is 4.4. (the max load gave them the best accuracy) They are using an 85gr. cast bullet from thier mould no. 313249 sized to .309". The gun used was a Walther P-38. Other powders they use for this bullet are: 700X, PB, SR4756, Bullseye, Red Dot, Green Dot and Unique.
They also list loads using Hornady #1419, 93gr. FMJ bullets.
Sounds like you did real good on that one. Have fun and enjoy it.

I did not know that the Browning HP was ever made in 30 Luger.
Uncle had a war trophy Luger in 30 Luger that he brought back from WWII. As i recall it was a commercial model and apparently some German officer's personal gun.
This caliber does not seem to be particularly popular compared to the 9mm Luger or Parabellum and reloading data seems to be relatively scarce.
