shot a chrony once with a .32, but it still worked. a .38 put its lights out for good some time later. the good folks at Chrony didn't even make fun of me at all and they gave me some credit for the old unit, more than fair i thought at the time, though i forget exactly how much. i kind of agree with the cheap replacement is better crowd but then, it appears i am a lousy shot.
