I would like to load some self defense ammo for my M&P40c (3 1/2 inch barrel) 165 grain Golden Saber bullets on hand. Any suggestions for powder to use with this short barrel booger?

Hi, Been loading both 9mm and .40S&W for about 20 years, And have found "Blue-Dot" to be about the best for these two. Watch your O.A.L. and use a good taper crimp and you s/b GTG.
LG Having you along, is like losing two good men |

Take a look at Alliant's Power Pistol. It was developed for these type cartridges. I use it in 9mm loads. You can checkout the online reloading manual at www.alliantpowder.com

I really like WSF powder for both 9mm and 40 S&W. It meters very accurately 'cause it's a fine ball powder, and accuracy is excellent.

Winchester WSF, Hodgdon Longshot and Alliant Powder Pistol are all good powders for the .40 S&W with the edge going to Powder Pistol.
