I am looking for help with inaccurate powder throws with the adjustable throw bar, on light pistol loads (~3-4 grns). I have watched the videos and made good adjustments to all the other subsystems, but cannot get accurate loads (and occasionally get very low throws).

All the usual problems are eliminated; New un-caked Bullseye powder, cleaned system, limited/no static, fully-cycled throw, properly flared bell. I have purchased but am yet to receive the charged disks, which I hope resolves the problem.

Any suggestions?

Open it all the way up and weigh the charges individually writing down each one. This will tell you if something else is wrong. Like bridging of the small gap in the charge bar.

Do you have any other types of powders available to you that might meter better? Just as a weight trial you could try an equivalent load of say, W231/HP-38 or AA#2 or something of a ball powder type.

Don't set any bullets on the over sized loads though! Just do it for a weight test.

I have the AutoDisk with the adjustable charge bar and haven't had any problem with it on my Lee Classic Turret press, 4 hole type.

(It is barely visible in the back setup)

When I had a Pro Autodisk charges tended to vary a little depending on how I operated the press. To avoid inconsistencies when loading near max I'd use the second drop by dumping the first charge, then filling again without cycling the turret. This usually gave me zero variation. I'd try it and see what happens.

I recently had the same problem.

If you notice the adjustable charge bar does'nt quite make it all the way under the powder thru-hole when it is set that low. It causes the powder to "bridge".

I beveled the edge of the of the charge bar just a little and the problem went away.

Cant load ammo fast enough to keep the guns fed.
Old data is only old because it was printed before the laywers got out of hand.
