my 10-5 needs repair (end shake) should I send it to the factory or is there a good smith in the portland,OR area that can do the work?

You may want to contact John Semm at Shooters Service Center in N. Portland. (503) 289-1280. He is S&W factory trained and used to be the factory service shop for this area. He has worked on a number of my S&Ws with very good results.
