I know I've seen a thread here before about the solution to short/tight chambers in a 625-2.
Can't remember now but I ended up with one a few weeks ago and it does indeed have the same problem. Doesn't seem to make any difference whether I use full moon clips or not - the cyllinder usually closes but the bases of the rounds usually rub against the rear of the frame. If you have had one of these with a similar issue please let me know what worked for you.
Thanks in advance,
Steve

The normal "problem" seems to be that the chambers are slightly deep but small in diameter and out of round. Reaming the chambers fixes the "problem".

Not trying to hijack the thread but I'm in the middle of working on my 625 Cylinder and I was wondering what you used to measure and determine that the chambers were out of round and what reamer did you use to fix this . Please

Telescoping gauges and a verniered (tenths) micrometer. Clymer finishing reamer from Brownells.
