Hi guys,

I'm trying to help a friend out. He has an older model 25-2. He let someone shoot his gun and they dropped it breaking the rear sight to the point it needs to be replaced.
Since every source I normally use is out of sights I thought I would check here and see if someone might have a rear N frame sight they could part with. If your like me I have all kinds of parts in boxes just not one of those.

Many thanks,
Phil

I don't know who your "Normal Sources" are, but if you have not yet checked with Brownell's, that is where I would start my search. Hope this helps. Paulie686.

Yep, checked Brownells and Numrich and they are out of stock and won't have any more for about 60 days.

Thanks

Well I did think of that and believe it or not from what my friend told me Brownells told him that S&W was out of the rear N frame sights which is why Brownells didn't have any. Strange huh:-) You wouldn't think S&W would run out of parts but then again it is a revolver which is not the biggest sellers for them anymore. That's all I can figure.

Thanks though--------

I have the PDF with all the parts prices and numbers from S&W. I may call Monday and check with them myself.I'm curious about it now.

Judge
I believe he could get by with the parts you mentioned. I don't believe the main part of the sight is to bad not to work on it a bit to salvage it. If I remember correctly those are the only parts in there except the sight body itself.
The fellow who shot it dropped it on concrete and it landed right on the sight so you can imagine how that turned out.

Thanks

Sir - The blades come in 3 heights - you probably have the medium tall (around .147 high), but it could be another size. If you need one , let me know. Measure the end of the sight blade from top to bottom to get the correct size. New blades are about $10.00 delivered, includes new screw and nut. Thanks - Judge jlch@comcast.net

Judge,

I'll ask him to measure it and get back to you. I imagine it's the medium size also.

Thanks
