I'm into double action shooting and there is a 7 week league around June. It would be neat to put a PPC custom bbl shortened to 4" on a long action pre-war to shoot the league with. Larry

Yes, they are the same. I'm working on putting a pre-war 6" non-rib barrel on a post-war pre-15 frame. Barrel screwed right in, and was even timed correctly. (right now, I'm just finishing up grinding the frame top to match the non-rib barrel).
