Is there a trick to getting the grip lock pin out ? I know it is turn and pull. I cannot turn this SOB. It feels like you turn any harder you will shear off the end .
HELP

No real trick, as per instructions, turn 1/2 turn allowing the base to rotate where you can get your finger underneath and pull. It is a tight fit, but should come out with some force. Be careful using pliers or anything that would gouge the handle of the tool. Once out you might try lubricating rod with light oil and wiping to see if that helps. Get some Gig a Loo from Wal Mart in spray can, like WD 40, but no odor or left residue. zorro49

Holding the gun upright, try putting just the base of the pin in a padded (with wood) vise. Turn the frame and this should do it.
