I have a model 10 S&W . And at one time some one put white paint on the front sight and the rear sight. It has been on there along time. How can I remove the paint without removing the finish?
Regards
Bob

Birchwood Casey Gun Scrubber will remove it. So far it hasn't damage the bluing on any of my guns(but I haven't used it on a S&W either, so ???).

Nail polish remover using gentle brushing with a bronze brush. An old toothbrush works too, but is slower.

It's only paint, I like the bronze brush with solvent too.

Acetone!!
It won't remove the blueing & will make easy work of removing the paint, The toothpick Idea is a great one too..Or Toothbrush..
Nail Polish Remover is Acetone with other ingediants added mostly fragrance..
