looking for some help
Does any one have a "how to" guide to stippling plastic grips? I took the old soldering iron to my 4006 grip and it's functional but really ugly. My coworkers have called it a Franken Grip. I have seen some nice ones out there but there is no way I can send It out to Bowies Custom I want to be able to do it myself. Any tips would be greatly appreciated Thanks Certified Criminal Justice Academy Firearms Instructor S&W Semi Auto Pistol Armorer |

I cant find the post but there was a member recently that posted a really cool picture of the grips he stippled. I'm pretty sure he said he used the "ball file" accessory tip in a Dremel tool. His grips were wood but I think it would have similar effects on plastic.
Maybe that member or someone else will remember and repost that thread Good luck |

its going to be trial an error.
buy several rough grips for practice. if you place a post on classified, there may be some members who will give you a grip or two. Smith y Wesson Cierre los Cuartos Combaten Cuarenta Cinco |

It's not difficult, just requires patience. I use a cone-shaped tip in an ordinary wood burning tool. Do the grips on the gun, tape them down at the edges, and be careful not to over heat them because they will warp:
