My 29-2 has a little "hitch" in the action, whether single or double action, feels like a little rough spot in there, but I can't find it. I initially theorized that it was in the rebound slide, but I took it down and checked this, don't see anything amiss. Any ideas?

Idea? Why yes! Sell it to your friendly semi-local game warden.

IT COULD BE SEVERAL THINGS,CYLINDER RUBBING ON THE BARREL,ROUGHNESS IN THE CRANE WHERE THE CYLINDER TURNS ON IT,BURR ON THE RATCHET WHERE THE HAND SLIDES PAST AFTER IT INDEXES,HAND TO THICK OR HAS A BURR ON IT.EJECTOR ROD BENT,IT DOES NOT TAKE MUCH TO BIND ON THE EJECTOR ROD.

An often over looked area is the interface between the cylinder stop and the trigger.
P.S.
It is also an easy area to screw up.
So any work there must be done carefully.

When I took down my Mountain Gun, I noticed a burr on the face surface of the hand which I lightly stoned. Is there any burrs on the face of the ratchet? (Extractor star)
