Para, Smithnut or Osprey,

I want to list a 24-3 in the classifieds. I want to link to a closed auction on gunbroker for reference. Is this allowed since the auction is closed and not my auction?

Thanks,
Many

You can't shoot a Harley. Well you could, but you wouldn't want to.

Thanks for asking Many,

Personally I leave the links to completed auctions in, it's sometimes good for reference. One alternative is to list the location and auction number - as opposed to an actual link - that's preferred.
The original rule was put in place to keep folks from pimping their own auctions, so links to live auctions will not be allowed in any case (assuming we catch them).

Rob,
Thanks for such a timely response. I will follow your suggestion and list the site and number.

Thanks again.

I agree with SmithNut. Sometimes links to auction ads are good from a reference point of view. It is also a way to alert forum members to possible dishonest sellers, or those like Fugate.
