I hope this is the correct venue for this question/comment.

There was a post in the classifieds wherein a member offered a firearm finishing service. I'm glad to see the opportunity/location where this kind of thing can transpire.

However, when questioned by another member about a product (CeraCote) that is in competition with his product/service he made statements that seem, in my experiences, objectively debatable. I do not question the efficacy of his product/service, and I'm open to them being of good quality as attested to in another post.

My point is, since it would not be nice to say this in the service-providers thread, I'll say it here: I have seen CeraCote applied and in action/use over a period of time and can attest to its self-lubricity, abrasion resistance, durability and utility.

The question is should this commentary have been made in the Lounge?

Disclaimer: I am not now, nor have I ever been affiliated with any company profiting from CeraCote. However, when I get my shop outfitted to apply alternate coatings I will surely consider CeraCote as a premier finish.

Shoot or get off the pot!
