See the post at the very top of the Classified section. Here's part of it.

8-Caveat Emptor applies here!

You need to iron out all details of your transaction with the other party prior to sending items or funds. This includes any request of an inspection period, or return privilege in the event you are not satisfied with the purchase. There is NO "standard" applicable here, regardless of what other boards may allow.

Unless there is outright FRAUD, the Staff will not get involved in resolving your transaction dispute.

Thanks for the reply that is what I thought the case was I just wanted to hear from a senoir member or a mod about this question.

I have already agreed to refund the purchase but do you or anyone else think I should post a Sellers Beware about the individual who purchased the item with no return policy then wanted it to be returned.

I dont want to make an issue but I feel that I have been wronged slightly and I dont want anyone else who deals with this person to get the same treatment that I did.

What is your opinion
Thanks Batta

For the Staff

This transaction has already been settled over the phone between this individual and myself. I am not asking anyone to get involved, I simply am looking for opinions on the matter for future refrence.

sorry if there had been any confusion
Thanks Batta

Not sure what you are looking for, we don't get involved between a buyer and seller, your terms are your terms. Nowhere is there a rule about a 3 day clause, not sure where that came from but it's not a forum rule.
It makes good business sense that you offer some sort of inspection clause, but for someone to imply that this is a forum standard is pure fantasy. We have always posted that we don't get involved unless there is clearly identify-able fraud.

Here is what Im looking for your opinion on. I dont think I will because this gentlemen does not seem to have wrong intentions I just dont think he has read the forum rules. Also for the record anyone who buys merchandise can have a return policy on request. I guess I will put that in my threads.

Thanks Batta

FWIW, I always give the person buying a firearm from me a 3-day "non-firing" inspection period. I make it clear if they ship it back to me (in the "exact" condition I sent it), I will refund their money after I deduct the amount it cost me to ship it to them originally..
