when I click the new posts button, I get about 6,000 results. I like having this button because I visit a couple times a day but the results are not managable. I doubt there have been 6,000 posts since yesterday. Is it possible to set up the new posts function to only return the posts that have changed since my last visit?
also, is there a way to search for posts by username? I find this helpful to view all the threads I have posted in and see if they have changed.
I'm not trying to stir things up. haha I'm just trying to find the best way to use the forum. I use several other forums and I have grown accustomed to these features
Thanks!

At the top of the list of topics, click on "Find" the click on "Advanced Search". Scroll down to about the middle of the page where you can enter a user's name to search only for his posts.
Thanks Thiokol, I hadnt seen that search box in the advanced search page.
TNDixieGirl, when I click "New since your last visit", I get 8,000 results. Have there really been 8,000 new posts since I was here yesterday? That is a lot of posts to go through.

I just did it after being on another site for about 30 minutes, and I got 74 results. You have to keep in mind that it's pulling new posts from every topic on this forum, so after several hours, or even a day, it could easily be in the thousands.
