Just curious why we don't have a fixed topic or area for Smith and Wesson rifles and shotguns. No interest?

While not the dominate manufacturer of long guns, they have sold hundreds, or more, under their name.

Their current offering of AR15 based rifles is significant and one model does offer exceptional target accuracy.

While S&W has come and gone from long guns in the past rumors persist the future will include them. The AR based rifles are certainly in their current catalog.

I think that would be a good idea!

I saw a SMITH and WESSON labeled 12 guage shotgun a while back. It was really NICE. Made in Japan. I wish I had had the cash to buy it.
When I did go back with the cash, it was gone.

I was wondering the same thing! A friend of mine just bought one of the AR's, And it really is a nice rifle! I just wish they were priced in the same range as the Bushy's. I think they could really sale me one!

I just bought a M&P15 rifle. It's a very nice weapon and I would love to have a forum devoted to S&W rifles.

I think this is a great idea.....
I bought the 20GA shotgun (made by S&W in Turkey)and love it....craftsmenship is like that in guns costing 4X what I paid...even the underside (that does not show) has indexed screws and engraving....gorgeous.

I agree, I also have an M&P15 and would love to have an area to discuss these types of rifles.

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

The 12 Gauge is a S&W Model 1000 and I have a beautiful one for sale on another forum. I agree about adding the long gun section. These a are great shotguns, gas operated, lighter than a Remington and just as fancy. Lone Star Guns, in Texas, is the shop that S&W refers you to for service. I bought a synthetic ring from them and installed it for lifetime service of the "O" ring. Now it will never "need" service.

NWO, let me know if you are interested in the details of mine and some pictures.

Sounds good to me as well I'm a huge fan of the 3000 and 1000 shotguns ...pretty sure Para is very knowledgeable in them as well.
