I recently acquired a couple of boxes of Remington .357 Leadless 125 gr. UMC for use at my indoor range. It appears to be a jacketed semi-wadcutter round. I was suprised to find that the ammo came with no specs and I haven't been able to find them anywhere. Does anyone know anything about this stuff? For example, what sort of velocity can I expect? Is this a particularly hot round or is it mild as magnum rounds go?
Check Remington's website. I'm sure they'll have it listed.

It Mimics Remington's 125 gr. SJHP. Those would be great for practice.

For some reason, the UMC Leadless is not the easiest ammo to find. I like it. UMC Leadless is Remington's version of Win. Winclean. I have not shot any 357 Leadless, but have shot lots of 38 Special Leadless. It is good ammo. This kind of "cleanfire" ammo shoots a lot cleaner than regular ammo.

I've been shooting Magtech 158gr CleanRange in my 686 and either Magtech 230gr CleanRange or Winchester 230gr WinClean in my 625. I like 'em all. They have muzzle velocity and energy that is about the same as these manufacturers' equivalent leaded rounds, are only slightly more expensive than their leaded equivalents, and are really clean, leaving virtually no carbon deposits on my guns. It's also a matter of being considerate to my fellow shooters at our indoor range.
I use handloads with plated bullets. I chewed the window sill, so I don't want to make thing worser than they are.
