You mean those 25-year-olds really aren't Vietnam veterans???

Big Grin I find it astonishing how many "tunnel rats" and guys who were on _Apocalypse Now_ river boats that I've run across. In fact, many of these fellows tell me that they worked in both roles, in addition to air cav and sniping! Red Face Must have been quite a couple of years!!

Shot-placement is king. Adequate penetration is queen. Everything else is angels dancing on the heads of pins.

Just hang out at a gun show on a Sat. and the cornfield commandos come out of the wood work. Big Grin

It is amazing how much some guys can accomplish in 2 years. Wink

Well, most of us Viet-Vets are in our mid 50s to mid 60s now, at or headed for Old Guy status. I am proud to say that my job in-country was pretty good. I worked in an air-conditioned communications center near Saigon in 1970. Of course, it was air-conditioned for the communications and cypto gear not for us soldiers, but hey I really didn't care why, I just liked it cool. Cool

I celebrated my 19th birthday there and, although a grenade, mortar round or 122mm rocket could go off anywhere in-country, I felt pretty safe. Frankly, I am extremely glad to have returned with my health, limbs and psyche intact rather than a few good war stories about combat. Roll Eyes I do have a few good ones about kid soldiers whoring around in Saigon, but I usually save those for my brother and a few old buddies over drinks. Wink

A little off the subject but one thing I dislike about Federal is that the Law Enforcement ammunition is slightly better than its civilian counter parts. Specifically the HST rounds, flight control buck, and etc..

It's Federal's policy not to sale their LE grade ammo to civilians. Federal is not alone. Winchester and Hornady also have specific ammo types that are restricted to Law Enforcement & Military.

It might be Federal's wishes but there is plenty of LE ammo leaving wholesale warehouses, headed to the public. A check of the auctions tells the tale. If you want it, you can get it.

Yes .
As a retailer I buy labeled LE ammo and sell it "over the counter" . There are no restrictions on most LE ammo .
