Yes aeronut, with something that powerful it may not be an idea to leave it overnight and you probably won't need to. Please let us know how it works for you. |

I use a Lewis Lead Remover. I never found any chemical that could get lead out in a reasonable time. I guess I get too much lead in my barrels.
The inside of all my barrels are polished mirror smooth (Flitz, etc.) I load 2 jacketed for every 50 lead reloads. After 25 rounds I fire a jacketed. That seems to keep the leading down to reasonable levels. I sometimes put a tumble-lube (Liquid, waxy) on the base of lead bullets to keep lead from boiling off due to the heat of the burning powder. Lee Alox lube is best by far for this. I tested some original Alox on a bullet by heating it till the lead started to melt, but the Alox had NOT burned off yet. Wow! KeithCarter NRA Life |

I've used stainless steel wool with great results-- cuts leading like butter. No harm to an original Trapdoor, either.
