Thinking of reloading to save money and want to use lead bullets in my sigma 9mm. Anyone use them?

Not I, but I don't see why it would be a problem: Sigmas have conventionally rifled barrels, not those polygonally "rifled" things.

Shot-placement is king. Adequate penetration is queen. Everything else is angels dancing on the heads of pins.

Hell, I use lead bullets in Glocks, just because they tell me not to! Never had a problem, as long as I cleaned more often than I like. Only bullet-related problem I ever had in poly-rifled barrels was in a ported Glock 24, using plated (Rainier) bullets. Ports shaved off plating and lead, and basically plated the bore ahead of the ports. Toughest cleaning job I ever tackled!

Wheelweights cast in Lee TL124 gr 9mm roundnose over 4.0gr 231 work well as a practice load in a Sigma. The alox is going to make some smoke.
Be sure to clean the barrel after shooting jacketed before shooting lead, and clean after shooting lead.
