Prior to the range, today, I picked up some
.45 ACP Blazer brass case 230 gr. FMJ as well as some Remington 185 gr. TC-FMJ is what the bullet is shaped like full metal case with a flat point - anybody know what velocity is claimed for this Rem. load? It was accurate, and fed 100% in my SW1911. Click on the link Remington Ammunition Ballistics and look it up.
Factory ballistic tables are going to be close to what you get if firing out of a Service Pistol but every gun will shoot slightly different velocities, even if the same make and barrel length with the same ammo. |

The TC stands for truncated cone. It was target ammo not manufactured by Remington any more, but it was nice stuff. Very accurate. It ran, if I recall correctly, somewhat slower (in the ~800 fps range), than the common Rem. JHPs intended for self defense at ~ 1000fps. Please pass to Randall M over on the 1911 forum.
