Just an FYI,
I recently completed a firearms instructor course and I was using my issued M&P .45 for the pistol portion. The school issued 230gr Winchester "Win-Clean" TMJ. Over the course of approximately 1800 rnds from 3 different M&P 45 pistols, (there were three of us in the class from my department), we had approximately 25 Failure to feeds. To insure it was the ammo causing the FTF's two of us brought 100 rounds each of different ammo. I used Winchester white box 230 gr FMJ and another officer used Speer 230gr FMJ "Lawman". While we used the other ammo the third officer continued to use the Win-Clean. The third officer using the Win-Clean continued to have FTF malfunctions while we two using the other ammo did not have any malfunctions. Then once we had shot the ammo we brought and went back to using the Win-Clean we too started experiencing FTF's again. In all three pistols using different mags the rounds would catch at the top of the chamber and fail to load and thus not allowing the gun to go into battery. All malfunctions cleared at the "Tap" portion of Tap Rack Bang, with the rounds being pushed into the chamber by the slide. So just an FYI range report. Other than this ammo I have had no problems with my M&P 45 in approximately 7K rounds give or take 100. Fog |

Thanks Fog. Good info. I haven't even seen the stuff around in awhile. .38 Special was the last I saw and that was over a year ago. I thought they quit making it.

I have shot cases of 45 ACP and 9mm WinClean and never had any problems. I like the stuff.

WinClean shoots great in my 625. Very accurate, very clean burning. I dunno about autos.
