Here's some 50Cal and other small arms ammo from my time in the sandbox. Most is field returns and captured ammo that was sent to us for inventory and demilling or reuse as needed.
You will notice there are 50Cal hollow points. These were used in the Barrets. Now thats gotta hurt!!!!!!!

The shot of all the linked stuff in the revetment, looks like the trunk of a Monte Carlo I saw pulled over on the Eisenhower expressway once in Chicago. It was OK though. The ammo wasn't his. And neither was the car? Somewhere between Laramie and Central W/bound, IIRC?
Sure glad Daley got all the guns outta' that town!

In Vietnam we had an op that did that kind of processing on returns for certain reasons. It was called CMEC, Consolidated Materiel Exposition Center.

What a real shame, specially w/ammo prices going up. Nice pictures.
