After hunting around ammo, reloading and general discussion threads, I'm stuck trying to figure out what to do.
I shoot a lot of calibers, from 308/223 being the most common rifle, to 45/41mag/9mm in handgun. I assuming, based on what I've read, that no one really trusts reloads that they haven't done themselves. I have sacks and sacks of brass in every caliber I shoot, excepting the 9mm. Some calibers, such as the 41 mag are not only difficult to find outside of hunting season, but they're getting very, very pricey. [I'm not just going to give the brass away!] I don't reload, and frankly it would take me several years to recoup any expenditures of reloading equipment, so I probably won't ever do my own. I have a ton of once-fired brass, but won't shoot someone else's reloads. Here's the question. What can I do with all this brass? Len. "Qui me amat, amet et canem meum." |

www.ammobrasstrader.com is one possibility. Maybe you can trade into more of what you shoot.

If all else fails, metal recycling facilites that accecpt spent ammo brass and nickel cases pay about $1.40 per pound. "While not every Democrat is a horse thief, every horse thief is a Democrat." HORACE GREELEY |

While we will not shoot other peoples reloads.
There are several Reputable companies that will reload your brass for you or exchange your brass for ammo they have already reloaded. Georgia Arms, Master Cast comes to mind. Retired USAF Msgt (E-7) NRA Endowment Member |

+++ 1 on Mastercast (www.mastercast.net). I have fired off about five thousand of their reloads, mostly .38sp WC/SWC and some 9mm hardcast truncated cone. They have a fine selection in many calibers and configurations. Unlike another reloading service I did business with before, Mastercast is prompt, reliable and inexpensive. They are particularly inexpensive if you send brass to them in exchange. I routinely send them a thousand cases by USPS Priority Mail for eight dollars and change. Any other way I know of costs twenty or more. With all those tubs of empties you have, you may never have to buy factory again! Cordially, Jack |

Thanks for the feedback, guys, I appreciate it.
I spoke to a local mom and pop gun shop nearby, and they're willing to offer me credit towards future ammunition purchases at their shop in return for the spent brass I give them. Here's to the small business gun-shop owners! Gotta love 'em. Thanks again, Len. "Qui me amat, amet et canem meum." |
