With prices like that they're going to kick their hot new cartridge right in the jimmy, and it's not going to get back up.
Don't carry a gun because of what may happen today. Carry because once, just once, and at the least likely time imaginable, you may run into the worst monster you ever could imagine. Be their worst nightmare and resist them with all the stubbornness that our pioneer ancestors posessed. To do less is to be unamerican.

I think your right, it is $25 for 50 here at the LGS.

I don't have a .327, but published information indicates that one can use .32 SW, .32 SW long, and .32 H&R Magnum ammunition in one. Use of .32 ACP ammunition is possible in some .32 revolvers, but not generally suggested as being a good idea.

If the caliber becomes popular enough the prices should come down as more manufacturers start loading it. Have to wait and see but I note that the 500 Mag is now being loaded by at least 6 sources. The cheapest though is still about $1.25 per cartridge in lots of 200.
Unfortunately barring a miracle the days of "cheap" ammunition seem to be gone the way of inflation and rising metals costs.

Seems to me it's priced right up there with the rest of the good stuff at $1+ per round, and may offer better penetration than any other small bore hollowpoint ammo. If that .308" diameter bullet expands anything near the ideal 150%, the .327 MAG could be money well spent.

I doubt this cartridge will take off unless they bring the prices down a bit.

It also needs brass to be made available. So far there is no source for brass other than by buying loaded ammo and then reloading it after firing. A mighty expensive way to get the brass.
The 500 Magnum had brass available from Starline I understand quite quickly but I am not aware of any source for 327 Magnum brass yet.

According to the ableammo listings the American Eagle is 50 per box and the Speer gold dot is 25 rounds per box. However the Speer ammo site says their loading is packaged 20 per box. Always great to see accurate info on web sites!
