Years ago I had a Taurus 66. I think it was a 4" barrel. A 140gr JHP ahead of 13 grains of 2400 was outstandingly accurate in it. The load wasn't wild and there wasn't a lot of flash, but, oh the accurace!

Yeah Norm,
2400 has for a loooong time, been my performance default powder. But older and smarter now, I've realized even that superb propellant has some limitations. The three inch point is my arbitrary cut off for it, depending on caliber. Too much S/D begins to occur, again, caliber dependent?
