ATCDoctor,
Sorry for the slow response, keep those kids a shooting, looks like they're placing bullets really good for their age, those are some big Jacks you all have there,we've got the average size cottontails here, pretty good eatin on them,of course gotta check the liver for spots upon gutting them, some are keepers and some are coyote bait, most of my shots on cottontails and squirrels and a few groundhogs have been from 20-75 yards with the velocitor and I have complete penetration and dime to nickel size exit wounds depending on range and barrel length.I used the K-22 with the Velocitor to finish off a coyote in a steel trap this morning,a single shot to the head and complete penetration.Last I looked I think it's www.buyammo.com they were advertizing Velocitors for a $46 a brick, this was about 2 weeks ago in shotgunnews, good looking kids and ain't nothing like those smiles of accomplishment on their faces. Big fat blackbirds shot with .22LR solids come down bouncing off the branches like tennis balls'
Those hit with hollow-points roll slowly through the branches like wet sponges. Those hit with extra-speed .22's are just skin hanging off the branches like wet dishrags. I suspect Velocitors would leave nothing but feathers fluttering down like black snow. KeithCarter NRA Life |
