While at Waukesha I picked up some (5) 38/200. The same couple had .38 S&W shot rounds, and I should have grabbed them too. I will get smart next time and if they have them left I will buy them.

Thye usually have the 45/75 ammo I need so i like spending my money with them.

That sounds like something that would work pretty well on teeny pests - never thought of .38 S&W shot loads. Neat! Smiler


Shot-placement is king. Adequate penetration is queen. Everything else is angels dancing on the heads of pins.

Never seen one - could you reload the Speer plastic cap. made for the 38 special in 38 S&W?

While I was a LEO I loaded Speer caps in .38 special and issued them to our officers for critter control. I used them on rats ,cats, birds and even a skunk. The bigger the animal the more rounds but little chance of over penetration.
As I remember I used 9 shot
