Appreciate an answer from you experienced shooters as to the 3 most recommended internet retail sales outlets you use for ammo and general handgun supplies ----ie. price, service, in-stock record, etc.

MIDWAY USA is a great source.

CABELAS is another, and a distant third is CHEAPER THAN DIRT.

There are lots of them, however. Big outlets, and smaller, more obscure ones.

Natchez Shooters Supply often has really good prices on ammo and accessories. I've never used their customer service, so I have no idea how good it is. Never had a problem with them.

CDNN offers cheap magazines and often bargains on guns. Intermittently they sell ammo too.

Some people hate them, but I've also had good luck with Sportsman Guide. Join their club and they have some good deals.

Midway has great customer service I'm told, but again, never used them. Prices are usually on the high end, but if you catch the right sale, you can get some real bargains.

I've also had good luck with Graf and Sons and Wideners. Graf has some more or less exclusive Hornady loadings if I recall and low shipping fees. Wideners often has the best deals on Prvi and sometimes on mags.

Cheaper than Dirt - eh, I've gotten a few things from them, but they're not all that cheap sometimes.

I get everything on line from Midway. Good prices and great service. I had an order that came with the packaged opened and empty from the post office. Bottom of the envelope was cut open with a razor and scope mounts removed. Post office refused to do anything, Midway resent the order "free". Smiler

Midway, amongst others, gives a nice discount if you have an FFL or C&R license.

Midway for me. I don't notice that they're significantly more expensive than other on-line sources; they ship almost immediately upon receipt of your order; and they offer various discounts. Don't ignore your friendly local Wal-Mart, btw. Last night I picked up 1100 rounds of Federal bulk pack .22 lr for under $25. That's less than 4 cents per round and I can't imagine anyone beating that price.

Ditto to Cheaper Than Dirt. Also, Sportsman's Guide sometimes has some pretty good deals, but it's kind of hit or miss if they have what you want, when you're looking for it.
