I've got a few hundred 220-grain LBT "Ogival Wadcutters" in .431", and I'd like to work up a mild load with them for my 629 Classic. Anyone have experience with them?

I've rolled some 210 grain loads using 5.7 grains of Unique, makes a nice blooper load. You might try that.

Let us know how it turns out.

I've never used them personally?
If out of Magnum brass with Bullseye I'd guess something between 4.5 and 7.0 grains? (750-800 FPS-1000 FPS)
In Unique, something between 9.0-13.0 grains? (900-1400 FPS)
Staying in the bottom third of the throw weights listed.

I've tried them in low-velocity loads, and they don't shoot nearly as well as a Keith. Kind of the opposite of what I'd expect. I'm starting to think it's more a a question of bullet design and less of velocity. I think these bullets may have been meant for full-power loads, and that 1,000-1,200 may be the low end instead of the high end. I have a query in to the designer, but I was wondering if anyone had used them.
