well i've had a few before and i absolutely love them. its a full size combat 1911 with a 9+1 capacity. heavy as heck standard GI model.
however the one i acquired 2 days ago is having severe nose dive issues and will only eat some ball ammo. so im going to try out some WC mags tomorrow and see if that remedies it.
but my others ran like a clock and were nail drivers. i would recommend it :-)

Lets see, as far as my wife knows a complete front bumper assy for my 96 Dodge Ram...as far as she doesnt a heavy duty 1" cantilever scope mount set up and a Bushnell Boresight. I am all the time swaping things around so instead of borrowing my Dad's boresight I bought my own.

One of these new fangled 9 mm's
 Update..
I finally made it to the range and ran 100 rounds thru it and it was nice to see that some things seldom change.Around the third magazine, the white dot fell out of the front sight in true M&P fashion.
Out side of that though,it felt good and shot well.No other problems.

I guess I'll post up what I got this past week.
The R1 came in last Thursday, the SR came in Monday, along the M&P9 Shield (no picture, there's already one in this thread)
Got this at a Pawn Shop last Saturday.

Well the world changed and she didnt kill me, I broke a scope mount last night changing things around for the umpteenth time, overtightened the bolt, so I bought some Medium height qd scope rings, they are going on a 1 piece riser and while I was at it I bought a BAD lever. The second Magpul thing I have the first being the mag that came with the rifle. Reaching over the big scope to mess with the bolt lock is a pain so I broke down.

Hogue Grips for all
I recently purchased Hogue rubber grips for my M&P 15 Sport and my S&W model 411 3rd generation pistol in .40 S&W. I've always felt the stock A2 grip on the M&P was too skinny for my hands. The Hogue grip is just about perfect. I also purchased a rubber butt pad for the collapsible stock, as it adds just enough to the length of pull with the stock extended all the way.
The Hogue grip on the .40 cal. keeps the pistol from slipping and sliding when my hands get sweaty on those hot Florida days. Never felt like I had that great of control with the stock plastic grips.

Well, I hadn't planned on buying anything, but what did I expect when I go to a gun show this weekend.
I found the M&P15 upper #812012, and after a little price research, leaving and getting back 20 minutes for close today, I bought it.
I already had the M&P15 300 whisper, but I just really liked the all black upper, free float hand gaurd that a quad rail (13" that says Smith and Wesson on one side, Military and Police on the other), and the Yankee Hill flash hider. Just a little over 600 bucks, happened to be from the same dealer I bought the 300 whisper from.
I'm sick and I don't think there is any help in sight here.....

I'm in there with ya bud. If I don't do something firearm related at least once a day, I get a serious case of firearms withdrawal shakes.
Visiting online forums calms the shakes for a little bit. Cleaning a firearm calms it a little longer. Buying ammo staves off the shakes for a few days. Getting a new firearm fixes it for a month.

For now I'll just swap it out with the M&P 15a barrel.
I had a couple of thoughts, one was to get a gun case that would hold the complete rifle, plus the upper. The other was hope S&W releases a lower in the new Smith/Magpul version.

Mr. Bane....thats why I am selling these Matech sights, I get a little bit for each one I sell plus I have the ability to trade for other peoples take offs. Works for me. The more I play with this new set up the more I like it. The only thing that will make me free float the barrel is if I cant get that last 10% of accuracy wrung out. It already looks like something out of the 5th Element.

Wow. Thanks. I thought I was done buying firearms for the year, and then I saw this picture this morning. Then one of my favorite TV programs was on:
Now I have an itch for a lever gun.

I ALMOST bought another Winchester 30-30 today. It looked like new and was the Legendary Lawman edition, nickel receiver and barrel band. They had 550.00 on it. I turn it over to see the nickel coming off on the right side of the barrel band and a spot on the front edge of the recevier. What a shame, that was a beautiful rifle!

I have the Rossi with the Brass Receiver and Stainless Octagonal Barrel in 45lc. She is really sweet but hard to keep polished. LOL
