Default British Armstrong Shotgun history.

Well, I saw something this weekend that I'm thinking I have to have...but have to justify.

A British breech-loading, 8 bore single shot.

Internet searching has done me little good other than giving me the history of the man that invented his namesake military cannon and a few shotguns scattered across the web. I believe this company was named for him, if I am correct. My Fladerman's does me little good either since it doesn't cover English guns- what's with that anyway?

I've been wanting a somewhat affordable 8-bore for some time, and this might be my only shot. (Pun intended) I just want a bit more history before I plug some cash in on this. Also, I realize I'm the only one crazy enough to want one of these, and the likelihood that I'd be stuck with it for the rest of my life with no or little hope of selling it for a profit or even breaking even is probable. But it's one of those things.

Anyone with this in their archives?
A little help please.

Unless you have a single shot 4-bore breech loader you want to part with...
