Ruger Speed Six

I picked up the 1981 edition, 2 3/4" stainless Speed Six that I saw last week,I am really impressed.It has been mag-na-ported, and has had the action tuned.I know that some don't like the ports, but it is amazing.I would not use it at night because of the flash, I have plenty more I can use for nightime use. I can't find anything wrong with it.It has the S&W-Keeper seal of approval.

If it's anywhere near as good as the security six 4" that I had it will definately be a great shooter and most certainly a keeper. Some low-life scuzz-wad stole mine. Wish I could find it and him and I would rap his ding dong with it a few times just to see if it was as hollow as I think it is going to be.

Have one, stainless 2-1/2 in 38spl. (actually 2-3/4in) Has the factory bobbed hammer and was issued to the acoholic beverage commission, I think. Stamped ABC. I'll never part with it.

There's a 4" Service Six here at the house, loaded for HD. Also a Security Six. I actually like the Ruger Six series very much! So much so that if I ever come across a Speed Six with a short barrel I would not hesitate to buy it.

I'm jealous, Sir!!!!!

I have a stainless Speed Six that I bought quite a few years ago at a local gun shop that was in group of guns marked as police trade-ins. Looked almost unused when I got it and marked USDA on the side. Maybe needed for rabid cows or mad chickens?

I have one also, picked it up two years ago nib for 350 from some guy walking the gunshow, he said he won't take a dime less than 350 and I didn't argue at all! Great guns and well built! I would like to find a security six with the 2 3/4 barrel with the square butt. Those look nice also.
