Taurus question (don't hit me!)
I recently have been offered a Taurus Raging Bull .44 Magnum in brushed stainless with the 6 1/2 barrel. I have known the owner a long time, and the gun has had only 18 rounds through it. It comes with 2 full boxes of ammo as well. The guy wants $450-

I won't hit you...because I can't reach you. All kidding aside, I would save a little more money and get a M629. That's just me.

I have a friend that has one in .454, and it shoots like a dream.
These sell for $550-ish new.
That's sounds a bit high used though.
$350 sounds much better, $325 id better yet.
Just don't get roped in by friend that has a "good deal."
Been there, done that and now know better.

That ain't a 'good' price in my region either.
Taurus....well....my experience with them has been a very mixed bag.

David, I don't know about your neck of the woods, but around here that's WAY high for a used Taurus- usually lucky to get half new price. Now a Colt or S&W is a horse of a different color on the used market here.

Used Taurus values drop like a rock. I think the $450 is too high.

Buds Gun shop would give you $325 for it as a trade just a general price range.
