How do they shoot? Are they really reliable?

I'm thinking seriously of getting one of the discontinued 950-B .25's. My M-92FS 9mm has been totally reliable, as was an old M-34 that I once owned.

T-Star--

I think I've heard that the 950 series (small frame) are reliable in the rimless cartridges and spotty in .22--apparently some run well and others don't.

The three guns pictured, a 70S, an 87BB, and a 948, are reliable to a fault and eat up any ammo I feed them. I've never had a stoppage of any kind with any of them, and I shoot them a lot. I generally fire standard velocity in the 948, but I wouldn't hesitate to use HV if that's all I had.

Those are great looking!. I have never seen the larger ones like those. Only the little pocket flip barrel.

Are they hard to come by? I love quality 22 pistols.

The M-87 remains in production, as far as I know. The others are discontinued, but sometimes encountered at gun shows. However, they are nowhere nearly so common as the .32 and .380 versions. I have seen only three of the M-948's in my life. I saw one M-70S with pearl grips that were three lobes glued together, as far as could be told. Abercrombie & Fitch had that one, back when they were worthy of their name.

These are basically "trainer" versions of the centerfire guns. Walter's equivakent .22's are more common in the US, and they aren't too common.
