Winchester 1892 38-40 SRC
Been a busy boy this week and picked up two 92's .
Found a '92 SRC in 38-40. The ones I've seen locally are mostly Eastern style. This one has the full length tube, fortunately..and is 1903 production. Bore is brite...

Hmmm...sort of brings the word, "oversight" to mind.
I think I'd have foregone the tang sight, had I been the original owner. But I loved seeing this. Nice rifle!

Mike,
Had I known, I would have arranged to meet you there at KTP. Bought you a coffee and shot the breeze...
I was there at 1:30 to 2:30...wouldn't it be funny if we were there at the same time....Small World.
The gun in the post came out of the Gun Library at Cabela's Scarborough about 4pm..

giz, only kidding(smokin' you out )about being at KTP I was there 2 years ago, while on the way up to Acadia. Nice selection they have up there, though wasn't too observant about prices. I'd like to get back up after the winter(august? ), we found a great place to have breakfast in Ogunquit.

That's another beauty!
Had a pretty good day, huh?!
I bet the orginal owner, when he put the tang sight on, said, "Well, I'll see how I like it before I take the other sight off," and just never got to it. It looks odd with both up, but with one down or both down... it would still look a little odd! But, I kinda like it. Unique.
