I'm in the process of getting this 2ND generation .45 made in 1971. It's reblued but looks good with super crisp markings. I of course prefer the case colors but for $950 I thought I'd grab it.

Nice Colt. I also perfer a case colored frame, but that price for a 2nd. gen. would be hard to pass up. I'm a CAS shooter and I shoot 2nd. gen. Colts chambered in .357. Some of the newer clones are nice but nothing feels like a true Colt SAA, especially a 2nd. gen.

I have a few Colt 2nd gen SAA's, first year of reintroduction. Unless you are going to shoot this revolver and generally abuse it, I would not suggest buying any re-blued Colt SAA.

I have every intention of shooting and abusing this gun. I have three other 2ND. gen. guns and they get shot too. I like the quality of this vintage SA as far as fit and care of manufacture. For under a grand I won't feel guilty wearing the finish off of this one.

I'd like to shoot it. I have one unfired in the box, and I can't bring myself to fire it.

Sounds like a good one to me. I have two late 3rd gen's that I shoot the snot out of. When you get it out be sure to post a range report!
