I didnt want to hijack the other thread, But it got me thinking.
I have to thin the collection a bit and this is one that I think I can part with if the "Worth" is right.
It is a Colt Commercial that was made in 1915 and was 1 of 1000 produced that went to Argentina on ship that they bought from US in 1915.
It is mostly original and is in fine condition,
The only NON original parts are the trigger and slide stop which I am working to find period correct in the same condition, Otherwise it's never been arsenalized nor does it have any import marks.
So this is an odd ball item since there were only 1000 made and from what I can find they are usually mis matched parts and in poor condition,
This one all matches, Frame/slide and barrel all matching #s.
It's now 95 years old and ready for another 95 years.
I asked on the Colt forum and noone gave me a solid asking $.
I am NOT putting it one here looking for offers !
I am just wanting to get an idea of it's worth before deciding to sell it or keep it with it's friends.
Thanks for any thoughts or suggestions.
Thank you!
Peter
