Anyone own a Taurus 709 Slim 9mm ???
Hi, Just returned from my buddy's gunstore and fell for a Taurus PT709, decided I had to have a dual tone one with the black frame and satin stainless slide. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone has one and how you like it ? Thanks in advance, Shoo

No, but I think it's a very nice looking gun, and I'm no 9mm or self-loading pistol fan.

Thanks Andy, I was drawn to all the nice S&W revolvers he had too, and there was a really nice Dan Wesson Model 15 .357 for just $219. But, I was looking for something with an easier trigger pull than my Ruger LCP .380 as my trigger finger is a mess from a softball injury almost 30 years ago, and I'm having trouble keeping on target. The Taurus has an easier trigger pull in both first hit and second hit modes. Hope it fills my need for a small, thin, anytime gun, Shoo

After inspecting this Taurus at my local gunshop, I'm not in the mood for one. We moved it outside and put it on a birdbath to get light for the pic...

The rail on the gun isn't a tactical can opener for tactical bacon. Although, most "tactical" fellers will say different.
That's a 24/7, not a 709.
Different as a pumpkin from a rutabaga...er a turnip.
I've seen that happen to several SW380's ("baby Sigmas"), and they used to send a free 908 for a replacement.

A Taurus is a Taurus is a Taurus...any way you slice it.
I do know two folks that have 709 Slims and like them however. Of course one of them also has a 24/7 and likes it. Now that I think about it, these are the only handguns they own.

I know it is not the same model or anything but i do have a taurus pt 101 based on the beretta 92fs but shoots .40, and i love it. I dont have much experience with it so take that for what it is worth.

I don't know about them. When ever I hear about someone shooting it, they always a failure of some kind.

The gun shop owner is a friend (and not prone to b.s. me), and said he sold it new, buyer returned it relativly soon saying it happened shooting some factory range ammo. No way to know for sure, but that is what the buyer claimed. Notice the damage is not just to the dust cover, the cracks go back behind the trigger into what I would refer to as the frame.
