A Shiloh Sharps 45-70 half octogon, and my dog Cassius Clay. The best rifle and the best dog I ever had!

Be tough for me to say what the best rifle I've ever had was, and even harder to say which dog has been the best. Every dog I've ever had has something special about him or her.

You know dog drool will ruin the finish on your rifle.I'de put the dog in a case and keep the rifle out,at least you will know the rifles bark and bite are savage.

I love those Shilohs...
I don't have a picture of my ole girl handy... She was a great German Shepherd- Kara was my best bud for 11.5 years- she's gone for almost 9 and I still miss her. Gods got a sense of humor considerin 3 cats try to take her place...
Do you shoot smokeless or "REAL" powder in yers
I have two Number ! sporters with the HB. I like Just lookin at em - the workmanship is awesome.
I really do need to shoot them someday

He's a Yorkie. We've had great dogs but have never been as attached to them as this little dude. He's a real kid trapped in a dog's body. and he's a tough rowdy guy even though it doesn't look like it in these pictures.

Tallpaul, very nice looking rifle you have there. I have all the components but haven't reloaded for it yet. I got new brass from RCBS which is north of here a ways. I have some XMP 5744 powder for when I start. Of course I will try BP also. Here's that rifle again with two others above it that I'm selling.

I had 2 female Yorkies. 1 - 3 lbs, 1 - 4 lbs, sisters from consecutive litters. They are labeled as "self assured" dogs. Gotta watch em because they won't back down from anything. Sad days when they passed. I've got Chihuahuas now. My shack is too small for a big dog. I always get BS for having toy dogs. They're very entertaining, and make small ****.

Best Rifle I don't know much about, haven't had anything that great. Maybe my Clark/Ruger 10-22. Best dog would be my Doberman Arrow (of blessed memory) He was lots of fun and very good with little children. A real ambassador of the breed. I even scored a 192 in the obedience ring with him (not that big a deal, but really good for me) I miss him still.

Wyatt:
There is a Black Powder Cartridge Rifle Silhouette match at the Sacramento Valley Shooting Center this Saturday. Why don't you come on over and bring those rifles you are trying to sell. You might find a buyer there. Also BPCR is a lot of fun to shoot. I have been making two or three matches a year but since I just retired I am planning on making more of them. I will be the good looking one with the grey mustache shooting this fine looking Hepburn. It may not have the scope on it though. Oh and I will be shooting Black Powder in it.

Hmm, a guy with a gray mustache at a BP shoot. Noooo, you shouldn't be hard to pick out
Really nice rifle. I don't think I'm man enough to tote it around though, by the look of the barrel!

Bob, I said the good looking one, oh never mind, I guess I am stretching the truth a little bit.
