Default Colt Snub at the Range

There's truth to the phrase, "all it takes is practice".

Saturday I had an appointment with the range owner to initiate Federal tax stamp paperwork for an SBR I'd bought.

But before I left the house, the little voice of reason whispered in my ear, "Take ammo for the Agent".

Ran 50 rounds through it, triple tapping my anatomical targets at 5-7yds.

Of all the shooting I do, I don't think anything is more satisfying than raising the D frame, and rapidly putting two to the center of COM and one in the snot slot.

It's even more fun when the other lanes are packed with polymer, and you know they've noticed that Mr. Happy Face has a third hole in his nose.

Cool! Yeah for some odd reason some of the plastic set just dont seem to realize that wheelguns can shoot! I have a 1967 vintage Agent that's a shooter too.

Two in the chest, one in the head, make sure they're good and dead. -Ed.

This reminded me of a scene from "Twin Peaks." The sheriff, his two deputies, and the FBI agent are at the range, shooting at targets. The clumsy deputy had no holes in his target. The sheriff did OK. The second deputy did well. The FBI agent's targets only had 4 holes in the head (he was shooting a revolver). The sheriff asked him about it and the agent replied, "One in each eye and two in each nostril."

It's just a DIY job with DuraCoat HK black. Not much to it beyond degreasing and mixing the paint correctly.

Glad you like it.

Sounds like fun! I might as well show the 1953 Cobra I picked up yesterday. No finish hardly but tight as new with a great DA pull. Here's the holster the previous owner carried it in. And guess what? He was left handed! $250 plus Ca. fees added as usual.

Nicely done doc540!

I'm thinking about trying Duracoat on an old alloy frame bodyguard that spent too many years in my ankle holster. Do you spray right into the cylinder stop slots or do you have to somehow plug those up?

I'm not a big Colt revolver fan, but I'd sure like to see photos of the SBR.

The Colt Cobra and Agent make sweet little carry guns. I prefer them to the Mod 36 because the grip is bigger and fits my hand better. Now if I had a Mod 10 snubby ....

The short butt Cobra is my favorite carry gun. The concept is great. Switch the grip and it's not much bigger than a J frame.
