This pistol is chambered for both 2 1/2 inch .410 shotgun shells
They also make a 3 inch chamberd Judge.
I wonder if a 1/2 inch would be any better?

I own a couple.

They work great for shooting field rats off the tractor!

They will not pattern like a regular .410 shotgun because they have to be rifled...which spreads the pattern faster than usual- great at close range, which they are designed for.

A bit ammunition sensitive- but all .45 Colt handguns that "happen" to take a .410 hull can be. Stick with Winchester, Remington or Federal and you have no problems.

The advantage about getting a 3" version is if you already have something that takes 3" shells only. The disadvantage is you can't get a lightweight with a 3" chamber.

Why are there rats on your tractor and if you shoot at them, aren't you afraid of damaging it?

They do nothing for me but I see some guy's excited about them. A relative recently won one at a banquet. I may buy him a little 45 ammo for testing. I was thinking some mild 'cowboy action' stuff. Since he only paid about $90 or less in tickets he's happy about the deal.
