I've had this for about 7 years, used to have two of them, traded the other one at a gun show for a Ruger Single Six .22 for one of my sons three or four years ago. That one was apparently a lesser grade as although it had the same blade work the wood was not as fancy and it had no oak leaves.
I tried then to find more info on them but could not. This one is serilized 1883. I am told that the oak leaves are gold, I don't know for sure.
The banner reads National Rifle Association, the handle and presentation box both have medallions with NRA in fancy script.
There is no makers name on it, just what looks like a sun logo with "77" in it.
Probably some type of commemerative, but you would think it would say what it was commemorating?
Any one here have or seen one before? Any info would be appreciated.
